ACEC - WAQTC Sessions Cancelled through May 31, 2020 due to COVID-19

With Governor Little's recent announcement of his phased plan to reopen the Idaho Economy ( and the expiration of his "Stay-at-Home" Order at midnight on April 30, 2020, ACEC of Idaho is working with ITD to resume ACEC-WAQTC sessions. However, the reopening plan still encourages working from home (telework) and Stage Two (May 16 - May 29***) still limits both public and private gatherings to less than ten (10) people, with appropriate physical distancing and precautionary measures. As a result, ACEC is cancelling all WAQTC sessions through May 31, 2020. Our current expectation is that ACEC-WAQTC qualification sessions will resume in June. More information regarding the new schedule will be forthcoming as it is developed. ***As stated in the phased reopening plan, evaluation of the COVID-19 situation will be ongoing and additional session cancellations may be warranted. As we noted in our earlier cancellation notices, we are working with ITD to make up for these cancellations now that the situation with the Coronavirus has improved and the stay-at-home order has expired. As part of these measures, ITD issued a memorandum on March 27, 2020 regarding COVID-19 Adjustments, ITD Transportation Technician Qualification Program (TTQP) for Sampling and Testing Technicians, ITD Inspector Qualification Program (IQP). These adjustments include the following: Extensions of ITD WAQTC/IQP certifications will be granted to allow continued testing. All qualifications beginning October 1, 2019 have been extended through June 30, 2020. ACEC will work with current reservation holders and first-time qualification seekers to prioritize qualification session availability for those seeking to obtain a certification for the first time.  ACEC will work with ITD and program staff to establish additional qualification sessions for those whose sessions were cancelled due to the COVID-19 Emergency. Those impacted by these cancellations may request a full refund of their registration fees, or they may wait until sessions have been rescheduled and apply their payment(s) to those sessions. Our cancellation and change policy will NOT apply to any sessions impacted by this situation, with the following exception: Previous registration payments may only be applied by the original reservation holder to sign-up for a rescheduled session, and may NOT be transferred to another individual. If a reservation holder chooses not to reschedule for another qualification session, they will be issued a refund. Thank you. Paul E. Wasser, PE ACEC of Idaho - WAQTC Coordinator 208-830-4026
